Building materials, decorative stuffs and their roles as finished products is an entertaining obsession. Walking the corridors and alleyways of Wal-Mart, Target, or any other big box is at first a nightmare and then a comfort. Getting lost, mentally and physically, becomes the goal. Looking at the fresh product, or an object used to improve homeowner aesthetics, eventually rely on availability and decisions in taste. The thought of examining this condition with the pause of photography is too tempting to pass. This body of work began on a whim and I suppose ended on one. Most images were taken in Levittown, NY and The Town of Tonawanda, NY (with an occasional trip to Home Depot).
